How ClockOn records work activity
This page is a configurable product template, not legal advice. A company should replace it with its own approved employee monitoring/privacy notice.
Purpose
The system records defined work and safety events so the company can support lone/mobile-worker safety, confirm journeys and attendance, calculate hours, travel and overtime, and respond when an expected visit or working limit needs attention.
What staff record
When a worker taps Setting Off, Arrived, Leaving Job or Finished, the system records the event, server time, work reference where relevant and a GPS location/accuracy reading. Where timed lone-worker visits are enabled, the worker also enters how long they expect to remain at the location when they confirm arrival.
Timed lone-worker safety checks
If a worker has not recorded leaving by the expected visit finish time, ClockOn can create an overdue safety alert and email the nominated line manager. This is an escalation aid, not an emergency-response service, and employers remain responsible for appropriate lone-working, safeguarding and emergency procedures.
No continuous tracking
The standard application does not continuously track the employee between events.
Manager changes
Manager adjustments to recorded event times are marked as adjusted and written to the audit history.
